Terms and conditions

  1. Bookings will only be accepted when made upon the official booking form and accompanied by the specified deposit.
  2. Provisional bookings will be taken by telephone but these must be confirmed within 7 days on the official booking form.
  3. The hirer, upon making a booking, becomes responsible for the whole of the hire charge and the balance must be paid on or before the commencement of the trip.
  4. Should the hirer wish to cancel the booking, they must notify the company in writing and the company will endeavour to re-hire the boat. If the company is successful the cancellation will be accepted and half the deposit will be refunded. If the company is not successful in re-hiring the hirer remains responsible for the full balance of the hire charge.
  5. The company reserve the right to refuse bookings without assigning any reason for doing so.
  6. The company reserve the right to alter or amend routes or substitute an alternative craft whenever in the opinion of the company, its servants or agents it shall be necessary to do so.
  7. If due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control the company is unable to provide the hirer with the boat booked or a suitable alternative the company will refund the hire charges paid in full but the hirer shall have no further claim upon the company.
  8. Passengers should not board or leave the boat other than by way of the companion ways provided and then only when a member of the crew has declared that the boat is sufficiently secured for this purpose.
  9. The company shall not be liable for any personal injury suffered by any passenger during the cruise or whilst upon, boarding or leaving the craft.
  10. The company provide the usual bar facilities etc at all times and food by prior arrangement. The company has no objection to individuals or parties making their own catering arrangements whilst on a day trip provided that they are informed in advance but regret that it is not permissible to bring alcohol on board at any time. Menus and wine list are available on request.
  11. The company is unable to permit any person, group or organisation to advertise seats for sale to the general public e.g. newspaper advertising, except with prior written arrangement with the company.
  12. The hirer is responsible for the behaviour of their party and for any damage caused by them. The hirer is also responsible for ensuring that all members of the party are aware of the conditions of hire.
  13. We regret that bookings for 18th and 21st birthday parties will only be taken if they are family occasions.
